Cook River One Lane Bridge, West Coast, South Island, NZ
In late November I caught the car ferry from Wellington to Picton. I boarded the ferry Straitsman at midnight and slept in my private cabin for the trip and awoke after crossing Cook Strait and arriving in Picton.
I disembarked from the ferry, drove about 20km to Blenheim, topped up with fuel then drove to Greymouth, and topped up with fuel again.
I drove down the New Zealand West Coast to Wanaka to deliver Dana's (my daughter) new car to her.
Stopped here for a photo opportunity and one of the many one lane bridges on the West Coast. A little south of here I turned left and left the West Coast and drove over Haast Pass, a most spectacular drive, and arrived in Wanaka early evening after a drive off about 810km.
