Driving from Tarbert, Isle of Harris to Leverburgh, southern end of Isle of Harris where I spent three nights at Am Bothan Bunkhouse* while making my trip with Kilda Cruises** to St Kilda Island.
In fact this was my second trip backwards and forwards between Tarbert and Leverburgh as my St Kilda boat trip had been postponed by 24 hours due to weather. I had to drive back to Tarbert Icentre (info centre) to rebook my Outer Hebrides ferry bookings between Harris and Berneray, and Barra and the mainland at Oban, Scotland, and my next few nights accommodation, as everything had been put out of kilter by 24 hours.
Seilebost** * - Isle of Harris - Western Isles - Outer Hebrides
Seilebost Beach - Isle of Harris. Seilebost in the Luskentyre bay, voted to be in the top ten beaches of the world. It is a little more difficult to access, but can best be seen from the roadside layby on the side of the twin track road about half a mile west of the village. You can see the wonderful views across the Sound of Taransay to Ben Luskentyre and the North Harris hills. You will see the white sands of Seilabost and Luskentyre with the turquoise sea, and the lovely Harris hills.
