I was heading north out of Wellington this afternoon when I met an approaching cyclist and I (gently) yelled out as we passed: "Can I give you some advice" thinking the cyclist was a touring cyclist and a visitor to our city. (I had already helped a German Cycle Tourist find the Interislander Ferry Terminal a couple of hours earlier.)
The cyclist stopped and introduced herself as "Celia Wade-Brown Mayor of Wellington." She thought I wanted to give her some political advise!
Nice to meet you today Lady Mayoress Celia Wade-Brown and thank you for stopping for your photo.
